My top pick from this month’s PinkSeoul box has been this toner from Manyo Factory. Lightweight, easy to apply, and incredibly effective, this formula preps skin extra well for sheet masks, mask packs, and skincare routines alike. I use this everyday and most nights as a first step after cleansing.
When to use
After cleansing and before your skin care routine, or when dull skin needs refreshing, this exfoliating toner is formulated to control excess sebum, balance your skin’s pH levels, and reinvigorate by clearing dead skin cells.
How to enjoy
Shake the bottle and give a few spritzes to exfoliate, clarify, and prep your face for maximum absorption. Tap extra moisture into skin using fingertips. Follow with your usual moisturizer and essence, or a face mask. This toner can alternatively be applied to a cotton pad and patted into skin.
Before opening, I took a moment to review the “7 benefits of galactomyces” printed on the package to get an idea of what makes this toner unique:
- Helps moderate the natural function of skin
- Replenish skin moisture
- Smoothens skin surface
- Help make skin crystal clear
- Helps skin achieve a good balance of sebum
- Helps sooth sunburned skin
- Helps balance the skin’s pH level
I have been using this toner daily since I received it because it is so refreshing and easy to apply! It goes on like a lightweight facial mist, and has noticeably delivered to my skin at least a few of the seven benefits listed above; namely moisturizing, soothing and balancing. In addition, it absorbs quickly and cools the skin – feels wonderful even in cooler weather. I would recommend this toner to those with sensitive skin and/or combination skin like mine, for achieving a natural chemical balance. This toner is also fragrance-free, which is a plus for those who are sensitive to scented products.
The product’s “AHA/BHA” formula refers to alpha hydroxy acids – found in sugar, grapes, etc. that have anti-aging properties – and beta hydroxy acids, which absorb oil. You can read more about these substances here and how to best incorporate them into your skincare routine.
Galactomyces ferment filtrate (a ferment popularly used in Korean skincare products), rose water, witch hazel, aloe vera, and Japanese pepper, Korean pine, papaya, and green tea extracts.
